ABOUT THE BOOKSOCIAL SECURITYINTRODUCTIONRight to PetitionBird Vs. Politician

the Bird in BUSH

Survival Guide for America's Middleclass Warblers.  A realistic birding adventure including Analogies of Birds to Politicians.  Author: John Robson, M.S.

This novel contrasts the  enjoyment of a realistic birding adventure, with the reasons so Img23.pngmany middleclass American’s believe they have become political victims, and when it’s time to vote, Anyway they choose, they lose”.

This books primary mission is to explore the bi-partisan political tone found in our country.  It hopes to encourage all American’s into researching facts with an open mind, and becoming politically involved.

The story includes Robert McCain, an ex-Marine and college biology professor, and Janet Taylor, a social worker and student.  Professor McCain takes his class on an exciting weekend adventure looking for late summer birds in the dunes surrounding the Great Lakes.

The professor makes analogies of predatory birds to those he believes harm our countries middleclass and poor (the Warblers) for profit.  He believes special interests now control our media, and questions if our democracy still protects the quality of Life for all American’s, or has undergone an insurrection turning us into a borderline fascist commercialized regime that supports the stock portfolios of a few (the Crows, Jays, Cowbirds and Vultures).

This novel's aviary content was derived from author's thirty year experience in experiential birding.  It endeavors to create a realistic study guide approach to birding that can be modeled to learn the sport.  Bird names are underlined, and a rear of book 'Aviary List' is provided to assist birders in locating favorite species.

If you believe Politics is for the Birds,

You will enjoy this Novel.

Benjamin Franklin,

"They that can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty - nor Safety."

After you read "Elements of Fascism" (found in Introduction), please think about how easy it was for Franco, Hitler and Mussolini to set aside  basic freedoms by exploiting a perceived threat. Also think about the way citizens must have felt when they realized their actions had become  government scrutiny, and when they peaceably dissented, they and their friends were imprisoned or killed.

If we don't learn from history we're bound to repeat it.  If you watch television, you will hear Constitutional Law Professors saying our Congress has allowed George W. Bush to set aside many of our constitutional freedoms in the name of national security.  The elements are in place, and someday when you decide to peaceably dissent, how hard do you think it will be for those having ill intent for financial gain to identify and arrest you and those you associate with in the name of national security.

Pastor Martin Niemoller, Germany, 1937,

"First they came for the Communists, and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me."

It appears we may already be in a war to preserve our way of life and our democracy, and this war doesn't have anything to do with people living in the middle east.
